This collection consists of copies of correspondence and deeds pertaining to about 308 acres of property E.S. Fowler owned near Port Townsend, WA. The property is refered to as Point Wilson. E.S. Fowler sold the property to the United States Government in 1868.

About 1852 Port Townsend, WA had a population of 3 families and 15 bachelors. The Post Office and a sawmill were established in 1852. Alfred Plummer built one of the first houses in Port Townsend. Capt. Enoch S. Fowler was the captain of a topsail schooner. Gov. Stevens hired Capt.
